What Sentinel delivers
- Cloud monitoring for live machine position and process values
- Works with Viking systems and additional mobile I/O devices in the field
- Stores live data for later review, charts, and reporting
- Supports dashboards and expandable value sets from industrial interfaces
- Accessible from any web browser with account-based access
What Sentinel does
Sentinel sits alongside Viking on board: Viking collects and forwards positions and process data; Sentinel is the browser-based fleet layer on top. Brochure download, inline preview, and extracted figures are on this page below.
Once logged in, Sentinel presents an overview of all active machines and devices on a map. Operators and project staff can inspect individual assets, follow them live, review their path for a selected time window, and measure operational progress directly on the chart.
Reports
Sentinel also acts as a collection database for all incoming live data. From the machine detail page you can open the reporting tools, choose datasets and time periods, and generate automated PDF reports from the machine history.
Data in, insight out
Sentinel is fed by Viking’s extensive communication options. Viking can collect and relay data from PLCs, HMIs, and sensors over CAN-bus, Modbus, RS232, RS485, TCP, UDP, and 4-20 mA connections. That means the platform can grow from simple location tracking into a broader remote-monitoring layer for dredging, construction, and marine operations.
